How to migrate MYOB to Odoo
Connect the MYOB company file to OLaunch and it converts the full transaction history into Odoo: contacts, invoices, bills, payments, orders and reconciled bank lines. Each run comes with reports that tie Odoo back to MYOB. Practice runs are free, and you pay one fixed price per database at go-live.

Three things to sort out first
- Agree the cut-over date with the client, usually the end of a month or a financial year.
- Reconcile the MYOB bank accounts up to that date, so the reconciliation comes across complete.
- Ask a MYOB user with access to the company file to approve the connection.
Migrating MYOB to Odoo in 6 steps
-
1
Create a free partner account
Sign up to OLaunch as an Odoo partner. Practice runs and demos are free.
-
2
Connect the client's data
Send the client a link co-branded with your logo. They sign in to MYOB and approve access to the company file.
-
3
Run the conversion
OLaunch builds the Odoo database with the client's history in it. Most databases finish in 30 minutes to 12 hours, and you get an email when it's done.
-
4
Check the verification reports
Every run produces reports that compare Odoo with the source system. Go through them with the client's accountant.
-
5
Rehearse with the client
Use the converted database to show the client their own data in Odoo, train their team and rehearse go-live. Run the conversion again as often as you need.
-
6
Go live
Run a final conversion at the cut-over date. You pay one fixed fee per database when you keep it for go-live or export it to your own servers.
The reports that come with every run
Each report compares Odoo with MYOB and shows any difference. Open them in the partner portal, or download them as PDF or spreadsheet for the client's accountant.
- Trial balance
- Tax totals
- Invoices, one by one
- Product prices and stock on hand
